Clarity

Every diamond is unique, just like the individual wearing them. And just like humans, most diamonds have imperfections. These imperfections are widely known as inclusion. These miniscule inclusions are often not evident to the naked eye and can only be seen under a loupe or microscope. Much like a birthmark, these inclusions give every diamond a unique and special fingerprint within the stone.

Jewellers often use a magnifying loupe that magnifies a diamond 10x its actual size. Any inclusions that are too small to be seen through 10x magnification are considered non-existent. The value of a diamond depends on the number of inclusion or flaws on the appearance of a diamond. A flawless diamond can fetch a much higher value than diamonds with inclusions.
